About me:

This is my second year at Lafayette County C-1 Middle School. I have a Bachelors Degree in Secondary Education and Social Sciences from Benedictine College. I am also the Head Baseball Coach, Assistant Football Coach, and the 8th Grade Basketball Coach.

Description

This year-long course focuses on world history from the ancient past to the present. Emphasis is on the four cradles of civilization- the Tigris-Euphrates River Valley civilization of Mesopotamia, the Nile River Valley civilization of Egypt, the Indus River Valley civilization of India, and the Huang He River Valley civilization of China. Additional emphasis is on the contributions of the Greeks, Romans, Africans, and Japanese. 

 

 

 

7th Grade 

Description

This year-long course focuses on geography. Emphasis is on reviewing and developing geographic skills such as map reading, measuring scale of miles, longitude and latitude, identification of physical features, knowledge of locations(continents, countries, states, capitals, etc.) The area of study focused on is the Western Hemisphere-- histories, and cultures as well as their physical and human geographic characteristics.
